Once you have created an Ruleset Data Object (RDO), you must add it to the
Variables panel of a Ruleset.
Rulesets can
only use one RDO at a time, but the object can contain many variables.
-
Open the Ruleset to which you wish to add the RDO.
-
Select the Variables panel.
Before you add the RDO, take note the glb folder. It is empty, and
cannot be expanded.
-
Click the Add Data Object button.
The Select Data Object window appears,
displaying all RDOs in your open Projects.
Note: If selecting an object from another Project, the required sharing
settings must be followed. Please see
Sharing Projects for more info.
The
availability of objects does not guarantee successful deployment unless sharing
permissions have been set.
-
Select the RDO and click OK. The glb folder can now be expanded,
displaying the variables defined in that particular RDO.
At this point you can proceed with normal Ruleset mapping practices
using the variables from in your
glb folder.
Values defined in the
folder can be changed at the Ruleset level; this will not affect the initial
values that have been defined in the RDO.
