Defining Trading Partners (object)

Defining this object assigns a name to all related Routes and EDI Envelopers for a particular trading partner.

If you haven't already created this object, see Creating Trading Partners (object).

These steps take place in the Trading Partner editor.

1. Type the trading partner name in the Description field. When referencing from a Route or Enveloper object, this specific Trading Partner object name will be an available option. Some naming conventions may apply.
2. Click Save to complete this task.

Next: Assign this object (trading partner name) to the related EDI/ApplicationRoute and EDI Enveloper object(s). You can also directly create the Trading Partner object from within either of these object's editors.
