Creating Oracle® Schemas

Creating an Oracle Schema with a sample Oracle file instructs Clarify how to format data it reads from or writes to an Oracle file.

You must have a pre-existing Oracle e-Commerce Gateway definition file to create an Oracle Schema. You must copy the sample file into Clarify. Cleo recommends creating a new folder called samples in your Project at the same level as the src and META-INF folders to hold sample data.
  1. Select File | New | Oracle Schema from the main menu.
Note: If you select the Package in which the Oracle Schema should reside before creating it, some parameters are automatically populated in the New Oracle Schema window.
  2. The New Oracle Schema window appears. Under Import Oracle e-Commerce Gateway File, in the File Name field, click Browse to select a file. Click Next.
  3. Provide the Source folder, Package, and Name.
  4. Click Finish. An editor appears.
Next: Make any changes to your Oracle Schema in its editor. Since the Oracle Schema is a type of Flat File Schema, if you need help customizing it, see Customizing Flat File Schemas.

To use the Schema, select it when Creating Rulesets.
